The different ICTs used in school

The ICTs, (information and communication technologies) are technologies that helps people to stay connected, informed and refer not only to technological devices but also to software programs and applications.

In the school, at least in our high school, we use IPads as part as our material. We use it in order to obtain information and be able to make reliable researches.

Algebraix: This is a program that directly gives the grades, reports, messages and important advices to our parents, it is very useful.

SEC: The SEC stands for “centro de cómputo”. In this place we have access to good computer and we can practice our skills with the different classes that teachers have prepared for us.

Achieve: Achieve is an online platform where we have access to hundreds of different readings, this is useful because we practice our reading comprehension and writing skills.

Meraki: The administration software , Meraki helps the school to interconnect and admistrate our iPads, so we cannot search for distracting sites like social web sites, or inappropriate sites such as Porn hub.

The internet browsers, such as safari help us obtain information, so it also counts.

Through capacity-building activities, technical advice, publications, fieldworks, and international conferences such as International Conferences.

I think that ICTs are really useful and necessary in education in order to be able to educate in a better way the todays child generation.

Areas where ICTs are used.

• Education 

Use of I Pads in the classroom, for the use of digital books.

Use of more advanced computers and gadgets, such as projectors.

A more advanced and useful facility available for students and teachers.

More advanced and specific studios for revealing chronic diseases.

Creation and development of medicines and vaccines.

Greater machines to keep a person alive in a comma state.

    

• Entertainment 

Development of new platforms and streaming services like Netflix.

More advanced and with a better quality video games.

Better quality of home appliances like televisions and computers.

• Planet and environmental care

Creation of organizations that help to take care of zones.

Tools and useful gadgets in order to clean up entire fields.

Creation of natural reserves that protect animals form hunt.

Conclusion 

Information and communication technologies can be applied for many fields and are also very useful in the day to day life.

What is the internet?
The internet is a huge web that helps people in order to be connected with friends and consult any kind of information 24/7.

What is a browser?
A browser is a software in which you are able to search information, services images and forums. Browsers can be accessed by anyone at anytime and provides full services to the user. Some examples are Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera and Internet explorer.

What is a search engine?
It is also a software designed to search for information on the web. Some examples are Archie, the very first one, Bing, Duck Duck go, Ask.com and google.

My favorite movie

Deadpool
Deadpool is a comic super heroe movie that talks about the story of Wade Wilson, a mercenary that is diagnosted with cancer, so his was somitted to an extreme treatment that gave him superpowers, but he was betrayed by the guy that offered the treatment to him. Deadpool almost died, and as a consequence he burned his face, so he looked for revange.

I liked it because it was a very funny moovie, it is not just another super heroe movie, the main issue is that he talks to the audience, breaking some rules.

Networks and WWW

What is a network?
A network is a web that digitally connects some devices. It can be as small as two computers chatting or large as a worldwide web with millions of computers connected.

Which are the types of networls?
LAN (Local Area Network)
MAN (Metropolitan Area Network)
WAN (Wide Area Network)

What is worldwide web?
Is the space where all the information and services are found, is connected globally, the name tells it.
